2. About this Privacy Policy
With this Privacy Policy, we aim to inform our clients, business partners, consumers, and the general public about the personal data we collect and how, the specific and legitimate purposes for which we process it, how long we retain it, and the rights data subjects hold, among other relevant information.
3. Confidentiality and Privacy
Protecting your privacy and personal data is our mission. We process your data in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring confidentiality and security regarding the information we request and/or you provide, which is used solely for the purposes expressly specified and consented to by you.
4. What Data Do We Collect and How?
Personal data is information that identifies, directly or indirectly, a natural person (the data subject), particularly by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, preferences, among others.
We collect only the information strictly necessary and relevant to the intended purposes. As such, we may collect the following data: name, phone contact, email address, and postal address; date of birth, tax identification number, and payment details included on product invoices; and information included in CVs provided by the data subject.

We may also collect it from our distributors when handling complaints.
5. For What Purposes Do We Process Data?
We process personal data provided to us for the following specific purposes:
- Contact and complaint forms – to follow up on the content of the form and provide an appropriate response.

- Newsletter subscription – to regularly send updates on the Polisport World.
- Job applications – for immediate or future recruitment purposes.
- Online sales – to process orders and deliver products purchased remotely.
The data processing is legitimized by the data subject’s consent, legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, or the fulfillment of legal obligations, as applicable.
6. How Long Do We Retain Data?
We process and retain your personal data in accordance with the specific purposes for which it was collected and lawfully processed, only for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes.
The data retention periods, by purpose, are as follows:
- Contact and complaint forms – data is retained for one year from the initial communication.

7. Who do we transfer personal data to?
We only pass on your personal data to third parties in the context of after-sales service, to respond to requests for information or complaints, in two specific cases: to the transport company, if it is necessary to send products; to the local distributor, who is carefully selected by us, in order to speed up the process and resolve the issue. Without prejudice, you should consult the Privacy Policy of the specific transport company or local distributor.

If they withdraw their consent, their data will no longer be processed, but the withdrawal of consent does not compromise the lawfulness of the processing of personal data that has been carried out up to that date on the basis of the consent previously given.
The data subject also has the right to lodge complaints with the competent national supervisory authority, which in Portugal is the National Data Protection Commission. For more information, go to www.cnpd.pt.
